Seems that once a month is the going rate for posts. Time just flies by and all my good intentions fly with it.
I was fortunate to spend lots of time with Bubba while I was on holidays but, now that I’m back at work, we have returned to once every 8 days again. Need to win Lotto so I can spend as much time with him as I want. He is developing so quickly. He chats away and can communicate quite well. His sentences are up to about 3 or 4 words and he’s as clever as can be when it comes to word association i.e., What’s the horse say? “neigh” and so on. I love it!
Oct 9 – 10. His little cuteness was full of cheek. His ‘demolition expert’ t-shirt perfectly matched his mood. Not that he was destructive but he was like a whirlwind and managed to exhaust himself completely.

October 15 – 16. After a lovely day on Saturday just hanging around home, Jai (aka, Little Mr Independent) decided to feed himself and ate the whole lot of his custard. Well, all that didn’t end up in his hair, on his face or on his singlet anyway. A bath fixed that and he spent a great deal of time brushing his teeth. He loves brushing his teeth for some reason (I think it’s the toothpaste). Then he zonked out. Nothing as sweet as a sleeping baby.

On Sunday, it was cousin Ben’s baptism. I was taking the photos and Jai was such a good boy hanging around with Uncle Greg and was one of the few children who behaved in the church. Not sure where courtesy and respect have gone but they certainly weren’t in evidence inside the church.

October 21 – 22. I was flying to Adelaide for a 5 day photography conference on Sat morning, so I wanted to see Bubba before I left and he stayed Fri night. He came with Courtney and I to the airport on Saturday morning and was amazed at the big ‘trucks’ with wings. His vocabulary is limited and his latest word is truck so, if it’s bigger than a car and has wheels, it’s a truck!

October 29 – 30. I was very pleased to see Bubba after being away all week and he was pleased to see me to. We had a lovely weekend together before returning to our weekly (every 8 days) visits as I returned to work next week.
Nov 5 – 6. Have I ever mentioned how much I hate mosquitoes? They don’t actually bother me, although I detest when they buzz past my ear when I’m sleeping, but they eat poor Bubba alive. After I managed an impromptu photo of us together (god bless digi point and shoots), I put him to bed and, in the morning, he looked like he’d fed an army of mozzies. I used the zapper outside his room but it clearly needs to be in the room with him.

I’ll put today’s post by itself because there are a few photos.
