She’s here. My beautiful new grand-daughter and Bubba’s baby sister has arrived.
Born by emergency c-section after a falling heart rate caused by the cord being wrapped around her neck twice – she was born at 2.31am, weighing 3030g (6lb 11oz) and 48cm long.
As we left the hospital, Marc said to me “I can’t believe I have two children” a little overwhelmed by the whole experience this time I think.
Courtney looked after Bubba for the day and we took him in to see his little sister later in the afternoon.
While the medical care at the hospital was adequate, I can’t really recommend their interpersonal skills. They treated us very poorly and their defensiveness when questioned about taking photos has to make you wonder what they are trying to hide. I suppose they’ve had an experience where a patient’s photos were used as evidence against them but, really, you can only photograph what’s there so they shouldn’t be afraid if they’re acting appropriately. To try and ruin what is a huge family event, is disgusting and I will be complaining. The only blight on an otherwise special day.

Hi Jen,
Pronunciation has been a learning curve for us. It is Ah-may-lee but when said with a french accent. The first two syllables are shorter than the last creating the emphasis on the last. However, as I don’t have a french accent, I usually say it with more emphasis on the second syllable. Even Coby and Marc say it differently from each other so I’m still not 100% sure how it’s going to end up. LOL
Ah, lol, I dont feel so bad in not knowing how to pronounce it then lol. I HAVE seen it before (cant remember where) but havent heard it said!
